Re-Steeping Tea? We've Got You Covered.
Unlike grocery store tea bags with shredded and powdered tea leaves, we source long leaf or large cut, loose leaf grade tea in our bags. Because we use high quality tea leaves, re-steeping tea is a possibility—in fact, the bags can be steeped multiple times for rich flavor in the second and third cup.
When re-steeping tea for multiple cups, we like to do so in a few ways—here are the methods:
Re-Steeping Tea: 2-3 Hot Steeps
- Follow the brew instructions on the front of the tea pouch for your first cup and remove the bag.
- Drink the perfectly sweetened cup of hot tea all the way to the last drop.
- Place the bag back in the cup and pour hot water (slightly hotter than the brew instructions) over the bag and let steep for 1-2 minutes longer than the first steep. Remove the tea bag. Sweeten your cup if you'd like to.
- Repeat steps 2 & 3 for re-steeping tea and get a mild 3rd cup.
Re-Steeping Tea: Hot First , Iced Second
- Follow the brew instructions on the front of the tea pouch for your first cup and remove the bag.
- Drink the perfectly sweetened cup of hot tea all the way to the last drop.
- For re-steeping tea, place the used bag into a 16-20oz cup of cold water.
- Mix in sweetener, if you'd like.
- Let sit in the refrigerator overnight, then stir and enjoy the next day.
The bottom line is that if you invest in high-quality tea, you actually get more for your money—not to mention you get some time back when it’s already lightly pre-sweetened.
